About

Who am I? What am I doing? Why am I even here? So many unanswerable questions. I’m just a guy who struggles with depression and this blog is part of my attempt to help me fight it. I’m in my twenties, I live in the UK and my greatest achievement in life is being able to get out of bed in the morning. I’m gonna be as honest as possible in this blog, which means I may occasionally come across as a selfish, whiney, unlikeable and somewhat pathetic individual. I don’t believe I’m a bad person, necessarily; I just don’t think I’m a particularly good or worthwhile one.

The term “black dog” comes from the book I Had a Black Dog by Matthew Johnstone, which is one of the most important books I’ve read in my life. It should be mandatory reading for everyone in my opinion.
